The National Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Bal Seva English Medium School. The event commenced with the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and unity among the students and staff. This was followed by a heartfelt prayer led by our respected Director Ma’am.
The occasion was marked by inspiring speeches, starting with Dhruva Nerkar, who eloquently spoke about the importance of sports in student life. This was followed by a motivating address by our Principal Ma’am, who emphasized the values of discipline and teamwork that sports inculcate in students.
A special moment during the celebration was the felicitation of the image of Major Dhyan Chand, the hockey legend, whose contributions to Indian sports are unparalleled. His image was honored, symbolizing our respect for his legacy and the spirit of sportsmanship he embodied.
The event concluded with the much-awaited medal distribution ceremony, where students who excelled in various sports activities were awarded medals. The day was a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing both the physical and mental well-being of its students through sports.
Special Thanks to Mr. Darshan Sawant (PT Sir) and the students for organising this event.
